Greenshaw High School is a coeducational academy of some 1600 pupils 〔http://www.eteach.com/JobSeekers/RecruiterProfile.aspx?EmpNo=18042〕 situated in Sutton, England. The school was opened in the late 1960s as a purpose built Comprehensive School. The first Headmaster was Mr R B Whellock. Famous former pupils include Olympic gymnast Barry Winch, who represented Great Britain at two Summer Olympics, Sam Ardley who appeared as 50 Pence in the first and second series of M I High and Bradley McIntosh of the group S Club 7. Greenshaw became an academy on 1 June 2011, although it fully retains its character, ethos and appearance. In October 2014 it was reconstituted as a multi academy trust under the name 'Greenshaw Learning Trust'. It also has a highly successful and expanding sixth form for students aged 16–18. In 2010-11 students at Greenshaw made most progress in the sixth form compared with all schools in Sutton. It has been awarded the Arts Council Silver award, Associate Training School, Investor in People and Healthy School awards. The school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted. ==References==
